KeraSpa hair smoothing system utilizes matrix plus new technology a complex of amino acids cysteine that releases proteins sequentially. Is action reducing volume and removes frizz. Combines the benefits of babassu oil, wheat germ oil, carob and vitamin E to improve moisture of the hair leaving it smoother, stronger, healthier and shinier.
CYSTEINE
- Is an amino acid containing sulfur that is found in most proteins; it oxidizes on exposure to air to form Cystine.
- Cystine is composed of two cysteines linked by a disulfide bond.
- Cysteine helps keep nails, skin, and hair healthy. This amino acid is also found in broccoli, oats, garlic and onions.
- The inter-conversion between the oxidized forms and reduced cysteine allows the hairdresser to «shape« the hair. This new system promotes curl reduction and repairs damage caused by chemical processes in a single step.
- Cysteine is used to break down the hydrogen bridges in the hair’s keratin; then shaping the hair becomes possible.
- KeraSpa Intense has added more cysteine to the formula, which, combined with the Matrix Plus complex, fills the cuticles, forming a protective shield and modifying the hair’s structure, leaving it smoother and shinier.
Cysteine helps keep nails, skin and hair healthy.
SMOOTHING PRINCIPLE
KeraSpa Intense formaldehyde-free formula smoothes the hair physically, using an amino acid synergy of Cysteines. The major amino acid present in keratin is cysteine, 34% of hair is responsible for cysteine links. The cysteine can interact with another cysteine in the same chain and form a covalent bond. These bonds are responsible for the «waves» that appear in our hair.
KERATIN
90% of hair is composed of a protein: Alpha – keratin
Keratin is a fibrous protein highly resistant made of long chains of amino acids, aligned in the direction of the vertical axis of the hair and composed of multiple twisted fibrils. The peptide composition determines the negative charge of hair (polymers of amino acids). The polypeptide chain settles around and forms the hair fiber (chain of amino acids linked together)
INGREDIENTS:
Babassu oil
Babassu oil Babassu nut is the third most important palm oil in the world. It grows wild in Northeast Brazil. The nut produces precious oil used for soap, hair conditioning etc. It’s an oil that penetrates quickly.
Glycerin
Moisturizing agent – Protects the hair from dehydration
Polyquaternium-7
Prevents the buildup of static and forms a thin coating that absorbs moisture in the hair shaft
Wheat Germ oil: Omega-6
Vitamin E: Antioxidant
